Ranking transparency
Listings are ordered to balance relevance, activity, freshness, and promoted visibility.
Hourly promoted servers receive reserved top placement and are clearly labeled as promoted. They remain visible above normal results because owners are paying for timed advertising exposure.
Normal ranking considers online status, current players, votes, recency, wipe timing, and listing quality signals.
Live player counts, map names, and online status come from directory snapshots and direct game-server queries when available.
Tags, wipe dates, group limits, loot multipliers, and playstyle can also be detected from server names. These inferred facts improve filtering, but they are not treated as owner-confirmed unless the owner claims the listing and provides the data directly.
Abuse protections include login requirements, rate limits, moderation review, report tools, blocked terms, and audit logs. Stronger anti-bot voting and vote reward validation can be added before launch.
Admins can suspend listings, reject unsafe listing changes with feedback, and ban abusive owners.
